Nursery Admission 2023-24 Delhi

The season of admissions is close and all parents want their children to win this race against the limited seats available in the capital. A child’s future very much depends on the root planted in the beginning, so it is primitive to find a good school for Nursery admission.

The Delhi Government on Monday released a circular stating that admission to private nursery schools for the academic year 2023-24 in the national capital and the NCR region will commence from 1 December 2022. The circular has further informed us that the first list will be announced on 20 January 2023. It is to be noted that the last date for the admission process is 17 March 2023.

Nursery Admission 2023-24 Delhi: Important Points For Parents

  • The Upper age limit for nursery, KG, and Class 1, admissions are 4, 5, and 6 years, respectively. The lower age limit for admission in these classes is 3, 4, and 5 years, respectively, as of March 31, 2023.
  • Application forms will be available at schools till the last date of registration at a fee of Rs 25. The purchase of a prospectus is not mandatory.
  • The age relaxation for admission of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of head of school in the minimum and upper age limit for these classes. The parents may approach the Head of the School/Principal for seeking age relaxation through a manual application.

Eligibility Criteria for Delhi School Nursery Admission 2023-24

Age:

Children who are a minimum of 3 years and under 4 years of age on 31, March 2023 would be allowed to participate in the admission process.

The age relaxation of up to 30 days could be granted by the Head of School in the minimum and upper age limit, through the approval of a manual application.

Application form Availability for Delhi Nursery Admission 2023-24

The registration process for the session 2023-24 is going to commence on 1st December 2022.

Candidates would be allowed to submit the application forms until the 23rd of December 2022.

As per the official notification, the government has asked all the private schools in the NCT to upload their admission criteria by 28 November, so that the procedure runs smoothly.

Admission Criteria for Delhi Nursery Admission 2023-24

  • The Nursery admission 2023-24, Delhi notification appears on the Directorate website www.edudel.nic.in
  • The schools will upload their criteria and points using the login id and password.
  • The commencement of Nursery admission 2023-24, Delhi forms are being made available.
  • The submission of duly filled forms by parents before the said closing date.
  • Schools upload the details of children who have applied for admission under Open seats.
  • Uploading of marks(as per point system) allotted to children.
  • The first list of selected children along with the waiting list including the marks allotted to them will be displayed.
  • 8 days are allotted to the parents for their query resolution regarding marks allotment to their child in the first list.
  • Display of the Second List of the selected children along with the marks allotted to them under the point system, and the waiting list.
  • Resolution of parent queries regarding marks allotment to their child.
  • The display of the subsequent admission list, if there is any new list.
  • Closure of the admission process.

The draw of lots will be conducted in a transparent manner in the presence of the parents under videography. The footage will be held by the school. The parents would be allowed to see the slip of their child’s name before it is put in the box, to be used for drawing.
