Established in 1914, Clarence High School has built a legacy of more than 110 years in academics and holistic education. From an initial strength of just 17 students, the institution has grown to educate more than 2,000 students across Nursery to Class 12, maintaining a healthy student-teacher ratio of 18:1 that supports personalized learning and academic excellence.
The school has consistently produced achievers in academics, sports, performing arts, and co-curricular competitions at state, national, and international levels. Students from Clarence High School have earned multiple gold and silver medals in events such as CISCE National Boxing Championships, State-Level Swimming Meets, International Taekwondo Championships, Karate Championships, and All India Tennis Association tournaments. The school’s student achievers have secured more than 3 gold medals in a single state swimming meet, won national-level boxing titles, and represented India in international competitions.
Clarence students have also made remarkable records beyond academics. Students have been recognized in the Karnataka Achievers Book of Records for exceptional memory skills and identifying flags and capitals of over 100 countries within minutes. The institution has celebrated achievements including a 30-kilometre cycling endurance record, international accordion competition rankings, and participation in expeditions to Umling La Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads.
The school’s commitment to excellence is further reflected in its distinguished recognitions such as the Principal’s Trophy for Excellence in ICSE and ISC and the prestigious Gurnett Cup for Character and Influence.
