Thakur College of Science and Commerce is a senior-secondary school. However, according to the state, it is a junior college as it offers education to classes XI and XII. It was founded in 1992 as an FYJC institute and later on commencement of the Junior Science stream and the Degree College in 1997 followed by the Post Graduate section in 2002 took place. It focuses on things like Skill Development, Entrepreneurial Expertise, and Industry Alliance as the school wants to prepare its students for the outer world. Its curriculum is designed according to the guidelines of the state government and offers vocational education. It is a co-education institution and is a host to around 5800 students. Students can understand the concepts in a good way as the student-teacher ratio of the college is 60:1.
